The Rebuild Spring 2008

March 22, 2008. As of now, my bike is undergoing some new modifications. The Cylinders are getting bored to 1105 and I'm installing a new cam. So while waiting on that, I tore the whole motor out so I can sand blast and painted it. The above are just a few pictures of the work in progress. More to come soon.

This is my 1980 Kawasaki 1000 LTD. It has 39,000 miles on it, with the engine being replaced at around 20K. This has been my most recent addition to my fleet of vehicles. I have had this bike wide open at 130 MPH. This winter the old bike is going under some changes, getting a bigger cam, bore kit, pistons, and springs. I guess my goal this summer is to hit around 150-155 MPH. Call me crazy, but there is just something about making a bike as old as me go that fast! I hope to have video of the speed test in Summer '08. The top three pictures are the newest. I have recently put a set of drag handle bars on it this past weekend (Jan 26, 2008)
